Andrea DelGiudice, Artistic Director(andreadelgiudice.com)
Andrea hails from New York and Europe where she has enjoyed a busy international opera career, performing throughout England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and Italy. Andrea’s starring roles have included the soprano leads in “Madama Butterfly,” “Manon Lescaut,” “Otello,” “Pagliacci, and “The Tales of Hoffman,” alongside such international artists as Placido Domingo, Sherrill Milnes, and Johan Botha. National and international production venues have included the Scottish National Opera, Edmonton Opera in Canada, Munich State Opera, Opera Bonn, Austin Lyric Opera, Arizona Opera, DiCapo Opera, Jordan Hall in Boston, and RAI 1 Television in Italy.

In addition to her work on stage, Andrea’s diverse talents have led to many recording and film credits. In Rome, Italy Andrea worked as a leading voice-over artist with Buena Vista/Walt Disney productions. Her Italian recordings include roles in “All Dogs Go to Heaven,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” and “Anastasia” (to name a few), as well as hundreds of other animated features. Film credits include a number of projects for Robert Redford’s Sundance Film Festival with Riz Ortolani, composer.

As highly sought after voice teacher, Andrea’s students are enjoying successful careers in operatic performance as well as On and Off Broadway engagements. Her younger students are currently preparing for conservatory and theater programs in college. Andrea is currently a voice faculty member at Salem State College as well as a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Andrea is also an accomplished pianist.

Andrea's experience as an arts educator includes her work as Artist-in-Residence with Suskind Young at Arts at The Wang Center in Boston, Music Director at Stonehill College Theater, and Music Director and Artist-in-Residence at the Buckley Performing Arts Center at Massasoit Community College. She now dedicates her passion and experience to the conservatory level training at the Operatunity Performing Arts Center and the Operatunity Outreach program, serving children in need throughout Massachusetts.

Dori Ryan, Theatre Arts Director
A BFA graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music, Dori holds a Teaching Certificate from the Dance Teachers’ Training of America. An award-winning director and choreographer, Dori has been teaching and mentoring our youth in the areas of acting, dance, musical theater, and choreography for the past 15 years. Dori has received numerous awards, including “Most Inspirational Teacher,” “Best Directed Workshop” from The Boston Conservatory, “Who’s Who Among America’s Best Teachers,” as well as Recognition for Excellence in Direction and Choreography in national competition. She was recently named “Best Choreographer of 2006” by The Sun Times for her work at the Orpheum Theater in Foxboro, where she is Resident Choreographer. Dori has also worked as the Resident Director/Choreographer at the Buckley Performing Arts Center at Massasoit Community College.

Dori selflessly dedicates her enormous skill and talent to work closely with Andrea, pursuing Operatunity’s dream of enriching the lives of local youth through exposure to and participation in the arts.

Kacee Staiti, Executive Director
Kacee graduated with honors from Stonehill College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Minor in Elementary Education. She has previously worked for the Cole-Harrington School-Age Enrichment Program, the Museum of Science in Boston, and the Children’s Museum in Easton. Kacee has performed with the Stonehill Theatre and F.U.D.G.E Theatre Companies, including lead roles in such shows as “Into the Woods,” Neil Simon’s “Rumors,” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” Kacee has received various performance accolades, including an alternate nomination for the prestigious Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship auditions, as part of the Region One Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. She has also served as Assistant Director for two productions with the F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company, and currently serves on their Executive Board.

Heather Kirby, Professional
A certified music teaching professional, Heather teaches music theory and Choir at the OperaTunity Performing Arts Center. Heather also teaches music in the Dedham Public schools, and conducts workshop presentations on Music Learning Theory throughout Massachusetts. She has been awarded the Alan Scattergood Award for Excellence in Music, The Society for General Music in Massachusetts Award for Excellence in General Music, and was honored with induction into Pi Kappa Lambda during her graduate studies. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell (BM with honors) and Temple University (MM), holds a Massachusetts State Teaching License in music (Pre K-12), has completed 3 Mastership Levels with the Gordon Institute for Music Learning, and holds Level 2 Kodaly Certification from the Kodaly Institute at the New England Conservatory of Music.

Rebecca Harrold-DaSilva, Voice and Piano Faculty/Preparatory Choir
Rebecca is a pianist who plays for the Boston Ballet Center for Dance Education, has worked extensively with The Company Theater, the Voice Studio of Robert Honeysucker, and recently with Burklyn Ballet of Vermont.  She has had the privilege of working with Stephen Schwartz as principle pianist for the IRNE award-winning concert version of his musical, "The Baker's Wife.”  Rebecca is a vocal soloist for Faith in Action, a women's jazz/gospel a cappella group who has sung for "Dance on the Top Floor,” a locally produced extravaganza featuring area choreographers and members of the Boston Ballet. Faith in Action has also had an appearance on WGBH "Basic Black" featuring a music education workshop under the direction of Bobby McFarren.  Rebecca has worked as Music Director for Turtle Lane Playhouse Children's Theater workshop, Atrium School Children's Theater workshop, and Walpole High School Drama Department.  She is presently a Paraprofessional for Brookline High School Special Education Department. She is pleased to join the Operatunity Faculty.

Kassandra Grant
Kassandra has studied dance for many years, and holds a degree in Dance Education and Studio Management from UMass Amherst. She went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is a 1st grade teacher in Norwell.

Susan Magnuson
Susan has been studying piano for over 16 years and voice with Andrea DelGiudice for the past six. She graduated from Eastern Nazarene College’s Vocal Performance program with honors and has been teaching voice and piano privately for the past 7 years.

Elaine Smith Purcell, Opera Conductor/Coach
Vocal coach, accompanist and conductor, Elaine Smith Purcell has studied vocal coaching and accompanying at Manhattan School of Music in NYC, where she later joined the coaching staff. Ms. Purcell is also an alumna of the prestigious Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. She has worked on opera productions at Des Moines Metro Opera Company, Aspen Opera Theater Center and the University of Tennessee, and worked as a staff member at the New England Conservatory, The Julliard School, Manhattan School of Music, The University of New Hampshire, Miami University and Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium in Italy.

An aspiring conductor, she has served as Chorus Master with the Bronx Opera Company. The New York Times reviewed her work as, “excellent and committed.” Elaine is currently on staff at Walnut Hill Performing Arts School as vocal coach. She serves as Musical Director for Operatunity's Spring Opera production.
